The GABF, known as the Great American Beer Festival, is an event which is held in Denver, Colorado by the Brewers Association for three days in early September or early October each year. During this festival which brings fan from all around the United States to Colorado, more than 2000 different American beers are available to visitors for tasting. Also over 100 judges from the United States and abroad will evaluate the different beers. During this event gold, silver and bronze medals in more than 83 beer style categories are awarded.
More than 700 breweries will be participating the Great American Beer Festival in 2014. A list of new breweries is added to this year’s festival which might be new to many of the visitors. This makes it even more interesting since we will be testing some new beers. The Great American Beer Festival which will be held October 2 through October 4 in Colorado Convention Center is expected to bring more than 50,000 visitors this year.
Tickets were on sale from the early September and most of them were sold out. According to the Denver Post, the tickets were sold out in 32 minutes. However you can still get your ticket if you are willing to spend some extra cash, but considering sampling an outstanding 3500 beer participants in this year’s festival, spending some extra cash might be worth it. Currently, as of September 14, 2014, the average ticket price for GABF runs about $120, and if you really want to get your ticket then you better act soon before the prices go up again.

Also keep in mind that if you are a beer drinker and if you are planning to really drink up at this event, then thinking ahead to plan your transportation needs would be a good idea. During the weekend of October 2 through October 4, multiple check points are expected to be in place and the number of law enforcement will be increased around the Denver’s downtown area to look for drunk drivers.
